What is Zo Kinderopvang’s educational policy?
Our educational goal is to offer daycare to children aged 0 to 4 years, and out-of-school care to children aged 4 to 12 years in a safe and challenging learning environment. Each individual child has his/her own character traits and must be able to develop to his/her full potential.
Our educational goal can be divided into four main objectives.
1. To give a sense of security to the child.
2. To stimulate personal competencies.
3. To stimulate social competencies.
4. To contribute to the child’s socialisation by setting rules and encouraging norms and values.
Given these objectives, we base our work on the following principles.
• Respect for the individual development of each child.
• Dialogue with parents/carers to create coherency in their wishes, and thus create a good collaboration together with parents/carers.
• Care in a group has added value for the individual development of children.
• The group leaders set the example and play an active role in demonstrating the norms and values of society to the children.
