This location is housed in a large, elegant building built in 1899. It is light and bright and has purpose-designed rooms for each age group. We think of our childcare as one big family and offer a genuine personal touch.
Daycare The Hague/Scheveningen
Our childcare practitioners work with a small number of babies allowing them to respond quickly to the needs of each baby and give them one-on-one attention. We prepare children for primary school in a playful and educational way. The mornings consist of a structured pre-school programme and in the afternoon we offer less organised activities. Children can expand their horizons by learning about time, days of the week, colours and a lot more. Other activities include music and swimming lessons.
We have a beautiful garden to play in, babies have a sensory balcony and the Scheveningse bosjes (park) and beaches are close by.
Our daycare groups:
- Babies: 0 to 18 months
- Toddlers: 12 to 36 months
- Juniors: 24 to 48 months
- Pre-schoolers: 30 to 48 months

The childcare centre is open 52 weeks per year on Monday to Friday. Big Ben Kids The Hague/Scheveningen only closes during Dutch bank holidays.
Daycare opening hours are from 7:30 to 18:15 (10.75 hours).

After school care The Hague/Scheveningen
Children from 4-12 years, who attend various schools in The Hague are welcome at our after school care programme. We have many additional activities. We offer physical, musical, general interest and creative activities to build young minds and bodies. This way we support our busy parents.
Our sports activities such as swimming lessons help children to release their energy in a fun and positive way, while various adventurous outdoor pursuits in The Hague and surroundings allow them to enjoy nature. To stimulate creativity, we offer ‘fun with food’ and ‘arts and crafts’. Children of all ages can bake, cook, learn about healthy eating and create art while experiencing different materials and techniques.
We pick children up from the following schools:

- CBS De Spiegel school

Our after school care groups:

- Rebellious Rockies and Genius Gems: 5 to 12 year old
Holiday Camps
We offer care in the form of holiday and summer camps during all school holidays for children aged 4-12 years. English is the main language spoken at camps, but many of our teachers are international and speak multiple languages. Where possible and if needed, they will take the time to explain things in your child’s mother tongue (including Dutch).
Our programmes include activities for a full-day and cover art, science, movement, music, drama and many other topics. Not only do we design activities ourselves but we regularly visit museums, parks, sports facilities and the beach. Children build strong friendships and grow in confidence by interaction and participation.

Hourly rate for after-school care (40 weeks): €13.46 (Exception: €13.93) for Lycée Français and CBS De Spiegel)

After school care opening hours are from the end of the schoolday to 18:30 on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri and from 12:00 to 18:30 on Wed. During school holiday weeks the opening hours are from 7:30 to 18:30 (11 hours) daily.
