Adventurous talent development

At our after school care, discovery and talent development take centre stage. Your child can choose from sporting activities, crafts, carpentry, theatre, cooking and more. The decision is left to the children themselves because they’ve already had a full day of working according to a fixed programme at school. At after school care, we do what the children want to do – obviously under the guidance of an enthusiastic and qualified team of childcare practitioners.

There’s a building corner, drama room, gymnasium, carpentry table and all sorts of other areas where children can give free rein to their talents and fantasies. We also have adventures outside, whether in the Petrus en Paulus school’s large schoolyard, in the park and elsewhere in the neighbourhood.

Making their own choices

It’s very important to us that children have the opportunity to make their own choices; we call it child participation. We work together to develop the themes that they enjoy, giving the children control over our activities. They might also choose to do homework or crafting, use the computer, play foosball or board games, or listen to music.

In Dinteloord, involvement in the community is a way of life. Our after school care prioritises this, aligning our activities with the village activities, for example by supporting the Roparun and the annual Sinterklaas afternoon in the town hall.
