Activities and Development

At Zo aan de Buitenhof, children embark on thematic adventures every day, sparking their curiosity and imagination. We explore exciting themes while also providing space for relaxation after a long school day, whether through free play or reading a book. This creates the perfect balance between adventure and unwinding.

Outdoor Play and Excursions

Outdoor play is a daily priority at Zo aan de Buitenhof, no matter the weather. Children love being outside, where they engage in both organised activities and free play. We provide various materials such as scooters, balls, hoops, and small goals for football fun.

During school holidays, we take larger excursions, while during term time, we stay closer to the after school care location. Our favourite outing is the beautiful forest next to our location, where we regularly go for adventure and nature exploration.

Child Participation

At Zo aan de Buitenhof, we believe in involving children in planning activities they enjoy. We regularly ask for their ideas and preferences to ensure they feel heard. At the same time, we encourage consideration for others, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. This becomes especially important during the holidays, where children have a say in how they would like to spend their free time.

Walk-in Hours

We understand that arranging childcare can be quite challenging. That’s why, every two weeks on Thursday mornings, we offer a walk-in hour at our nearby location Zo aan de Palmyraplaats. During this time, a staff member from our Child Planning department is available to answer all your questions about childcare, registration, and childcare allowance. It’s free of charge and no appointment is needed.

Rates 2025:

Hourly rate for After School Care (52 weeks): €10.29
Hourly rate for After School Care (40 weeks): €11.84

We pick up children from the following schools:

On Wednesdays after-school care is held at location Zo aan de Poptahof (Address: Poptahof Noord 448b
2624 RZ Delft).

Groups:
At Zo aan de Buitenhof, we have two groups: the Sprinters and the Skaters, catering to children aged 4 to 12 years.
