  • Process your application.
  • Enter into a placement contract with you.
  • Send you invoices and a SEPA form for direct debit.
  • Provide the best possible care for your child.
  • Fulfill our legal obligations.
  • Analyze, maintain, secure, and optimize our website.
  • Keep you informed about our activities.

We also use your data for other activities that support our business operations.

Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the privacy statement, for example, following legislative changes and case law.

Retention of personal data

The personal data we collect and process will not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which the data was collected and processed, or as long as necessary to comply with information obligations arising from legal provisions.

Security

Protecting your privacy is important to you and to us. Therefore, our systems and programs are securely protected. We have management procedures in place to ensure that unauthorized persons within and outside our organization do not have access to your personal data. The management procedures also ensure that the systems and programs remain secure. We follow a defined process for handling security incidents. This privacy statement applies to our web pages, including the website of Big Ben Kids. This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites linked to this website.

Use of cookies on the website and parent portal

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small (temporary) text files that are placed on your computer during your visit to the website. They help us understand how you use our website and how we can make it more user-friendly. They also help us to quickly identify errors. We also use cookies for marketing purposes. Visitor information cannot be traced back to individuals and is not used to personally identify you. When exchanging personal data (via the parent portal or via our website), you will see a small symbol of a key or a lock (depending on the browser used). This means there is a secure connection. Your privacy is also protected by encrypting data exchange. You can check this by clicking on the symbol. You will then receive a notification about the security certificate and confirmation that the data is encrypted.

Deleting cookies

You are free to disable cookies. You can enable, disable, and delete cookies in the settings of your internet browser. You can only do this yourself because cookies are stored on your computer. Disabling cookies may make some parts of the website (partially) unusable. You can find instructions on how to adjust your cookie settings in the ‘Help’ function of your browser.

Disclosure of data to third parties

We do not disclose data to third parties unless permitted by law and necessary. This includes the Tax Authorities, municipality, or in response to subpoenas and court orders, as well as actions to detect fraud.

Your data

You also have the right to access your data. If you submit a written request for access to all your data, this will only be provided when there is sufficient certainty that you are who you claim to be. You can also view your data through the parent portal. You have the right to correct your data if you see that your data has been processed incorrectly. You have the right to have your data erased if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and processed, provided there is no legal obligation for us to retain the data.
