Our daycare has two groups: “de Balonnen” from 0 to 2 years and 6 months and “de Klimmers” from 2 to 4 years.

There’s plenty to do in the baby group!

From a young age, we stimulate and excite the senses. With activities of varying difficulty levels, we ensure that children are sufficiently stimulated in their development. Each season, we focus on all developmental areas by, for example, engaging in sensory activities.

As soon as the weather allows it, we love to take the children outside. In our large and sunny garden, children experience and learn through play. The youngest ones experience new adventures in the baby garden, while toddlers explore natural materials in the sandbox. We also regularly take walks through the village with the kiddybus, which is always a great adventure for the children. We visit playgrounds and other places of interest, such as the ducks in the creek, the playground by the pond, and the deer.

De Klimmers

For toddlers, we offer regular daycare and toddler care together in one group. Every morning and every afternoon during the week, we offer the VVE (pre-school and early childhood education) program ‘Am I in the Picture’ for all children. In a playful manner, we provide all toddlers with developmentally appropriate activities, helping them develop optimally in all areas and preparing them for primary school. Together, we start the day with a welcome song, a chat about the weather, a specific theme, or whatever is on their minds at that moment.

In a challenging and learning environment, we play with peers, go outside, and work on their independence and self-reliance. We also consider physical activity very important, as it helps children learn in a different way. We often dance, play outside in our large garden, visit playgrounds, and offer the Nijntje movement diploma. This is a series of movement lessons where children have fun weekly while learning all the essential basic forms of movement.

Collaboration with Merijntje

Through our close collaboration with Merijntje primary school, which borders our playground, the primary school quickly becomes familiar territory for the children. We organize various joint activities for the children in daycare and those from the primary school, for example, around Sinterklaas, Easter, and Children’s Book Week. We also have regular meetings with Merijntje staff.

With our enthusiastic team of childcare workers, we provide the children with a safe foundation. From there, they experience new adventures every day in our challenging play and learning environment. Additionally, we go out a lot. We aim to go outside at least once a day in our beautiful and large garden.
