Activities and Development

At Zo op de Kraal, we believe that every child is unique. Following our Montessori philosophy, we encourage toddlers to make independent choices, stay curious, and learn through play. Our pedagogical staff create a rich learning environment with materials tailored to the child’s natural developmental periods.

We use the thematic program Digitale Piramide, introducing a new theme every 4 to 6 weeks. Within each theme, we offer activities that support various areas of development.

We closely monitor each child’s growth using the observation system KIJK!. Parents are actively involved through parent-teacher meetings, updates, and daily contact.

Zo op de Kraal is located within Montessori school De Kraal. Toddlers and kindergartners regularly interact with one another, promoting continuity and easing the transition to primary school.

Outdoor Play and Excursions

Outdoor play is an essential and fixed part of our daily routine. Children have plenty of space to move, explore, and connect with nature. This not only supports physical development but also boosts confidence and social skills.

We also organize regular educational outings, where parents are warmly invited to join. Think of visits to the library, petting zoo, or nature walks. Every day becomes a new adventure — both indoors and outdoors.

Team

Our skilled and caring team consists of passionate pedagogical professionals who guide each child with attention and respect. Every child has a designated mentor who serves as a trusted contact for parents and a guide in their development.

We invest in the quality of our staff through regular coaching and training, including support from a pedagogical coach. We also collaborate with external partners such as the library, the child health center, and municipal sports coaches from Tholen who offer movement classes on site.

Healthy and Sustainable

At Zo op de Kraal, we follow a healthy nutrition policy and use sustainable materials. We also place strong emphasis on nature, daily rituals, and moral development.
